Dr. S. R. Handa

Dr. S. R. Handa is an experienced interventional cardiologist at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre with extensive expertise in coronary interventions and complex cardiac procedures.

He specializes in coronary angioplasty, treatment of acute myocardial infarction (including primary angioplasty), chronic total occlusions (CTO), thrombus-containing lesions, and high-risk interventions requiring intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) support. He has performed over 25,000 coronary angiographies and more than 15,000 angioplasties during his career.

He is also actively involved in medical teaching and international training programs, having demonstrated complex interventional procedures in countries such as Singapore, London, Bangkok, and Belgrade, and has received advanced training in complex angioplasty techniques and laser-based cardiac procedures.
