Dr. Joy Desai is a senior neurologist and the Director of Neurology at Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre in Mumbai, with about 30 years of experience in the field.

He further specialized in epilepsy by completing fellowships at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in the USA and the Montreal Neurological Institute in Canada. After returning to India, he established and ran the Epilepsy Clinic at Jaslok Hospital, focusing on patients with difficult-to-treat seizures and presurgical epilepsy evaluation. He has also been involved in international clinical drug trials for newer anti-seizure medications.

Over time, Dr. Desai developed a strong interest in sleep medicine, lifestyle-related neurological disorders, cognitive health, and neurodegenerative diseases. He currently focuses on the relationship between sleep, brain health, and neurological disorders, and actively promotes sleep hygiene in both the medical community and the public.
