About the doctor

Dr. Banerji earned his MCh from GIPMER New Delhi in 1986, followed by roles as Assistant Professor at NIMHANS Bengaluru and subsequently Associate to full Professor at SGPGIMS Lucknow (1990-2005). He was a Sugita Fellow at Nagoya University, Japan in 1994, with visiting faculty positions at Shinshu University, Japan and Mt. Sinai, New York.

He has performed over 8,000 brain and spine surgeries and served 16 years as neurosurgical educator and examiner. Notably, he performed Western India's first Artificial Cervical Disc Arthroplasty in 2007.
