Dr. Amit Javed is an expert Gastrointestinal, Gastrointestinal Cancer, and Bariatric/Weight loss surgeon with over 25 years of experience. He has been a Faculty at the Department of G.I Surgery at GB Pant Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research, New Delhi, and has trained many G.I Surgeons in the country. He has worked as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Abdominal Transplant Surgery at the most prestigious University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), USA wherein he was involved in liver, pancreas, and kidney transplants and also at the thoracic division of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC), New York, USA. He has also described various innovative surgical techniques which have been published. He has been an invited faculty at various international and national meetings. He has vast experience in performing surgeries for complex gastrointestinal and hepatobiliary diseases, cancers, and bariatric/weight loss surgeries, performing more than 1,000 surgeries each year.
