Dr. Bhaskar Viswanathan

Bhaskar Viswanathan is presently working as a Professor & Head of the Radiation Oncology department at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research centre (Faridabad, Haryana. In the interim, he had the privilege of inventing the Robotic image guided brachytherapy to treat Hepatic tumours for which phase 1 trials are due. He has also worked in setting up of Nanoparticle research lab (60 Lakh funded project) in his own personal capacity and was involved in formulating Iron oxide(30nm) and Gadolinium nanoparticles for their induction hyperthermia potential in the treatment of cancers.
