Dr. Bhaskar Viswanathan

Dr. Viswanathan completed schooling at Frank Anthony Public School and college at National College in Bengaluru. Following MD training at Kidwai Memorial Institute in 1997, he completed clinical research at Tata Memorial Hospital in 1998. He served as Assistant Professor at Kidwai from 1999-2006 (8 years), during which he pursued academic courses in genetic engineering and molecular genetics at Indian Institute of Science.

He completed a fellowship in Canada, then joined Vydehi Institute (2008-2022, 14 years), progressing to Professor. He pursued hyperthermia technique training in Netherlands (2017). Notable achievements include inventing robotic image-guided brachytherapy for hepatic tumors and establishing nanoparticle research labs for cancer treatment applications.
