Dr. Prabhat completed undergraduate and postgraduate studies at GS Medical College & KEM Hospital, Mumbai, where he worked as lecturer for four years. He received specialized ear surgery training in Germany and cochlear implant training at Royal Australian Hospital, Melbourne.

He has authored four ENT books, including "Practical ENT" in its 11th edition (35 years in publication), and published 44 research articles. He authored the ENT sections of multiple textbooks including IAP Textbook of Paediatrics and Emergency Medical Management. He has lectured internationally at IFOS World Congress and AAO conferences.
